Hello, everyone! I hope you're enjoying the hop by Gareth and our wonderful design team members so far and that you are collecting the letters. Sunday Gareth will do a blog post where you will comment with your Autumn or Halloween themed word that you have made from the letters you have collected during the hop. All of the comments will remain hidden. Gareth will choose a winner for some fabulous goodies from himself and some of our other design team members.
For my project, I chose to make a Fall themed ATC. I love ATCs because I can take them with me when I spend the night with my grandchildren and work on them when they're sleeping and in the morning before they wake up.
To start my ATC, I used one of the square corner MDF Bases (Click Here) inch piece and then stamped the pile of leaves from the 14 piece Autumn/Fall Harvest 6 x 4 stamp set (Click Here) at the centre bottom. I then coloured the leaves and the background with coloured pencils.
I then cut a piece of brown cardstock into the shape of a tree branch and ran it through an embossing folder by Cuttlebug using my Big Shot. I went over some of the raised areas with a Signo Uni-ball Board white gel pen (Click Here) to resemble one of my favourite Autumnal trees: Birch. I added an owl button from the store (Click Here) to the cardstock branch and a button of two owls (Click Here) on a branch to the right side and adhered them with Collall Tacky Glue from the store (Click Here).
What would Fall be without a scarecrow (Click Here) and some pumpkins? I cut a narrow strip of brown cardstock for the post and glued it down with Art Glitter Glue. I extended it downward with a brown alcohol marker. I coloured the Tibetan silver scarecrow with alcohol markers, giving him a denim jacket and blue jeans. I coloured the two crows on him black.
I took two Tibetan silver pumpkins (Click Here) that are available at G's Embellishment Emporium and coloured them with alcohol markers as well. I used hot glue to adhere the metal pieces to my ATC.
Finally, I chose three acrylic leaves from my stash and adhered them with Collall Tacky Glue and drew dashed lines to give some "motion" to the leaves.
There you have it: "Autumn in the Country".
I hope you enjoyed my project.
The letter for today is "I"
